Making a splash in North Texas since 1985
Founded in 1985, Pirouettes of Texas (PTX) is the oldest and most decorated artistic swimming club in North Texas. We offer Novice, Intermediate, and Competitive programs designed to develop athletes at every level.
PTX athletes have earned numerous Regional, South Zone, Junior Olympic, and National titles and medals, with athletes also competing internationally and participating in National Team programs.
Our mission is to develop confident, disciplined athletes, strong teammates, and a lifelong love of artistic swimming.
Our Programs
Novice Program
Our Novice Program is designed for athletes ages 6 and older who are new to artistic swimming. The program introduces athletes to the sport through age-appropriate land conditioning, water exercises, basic artistic swimming skills, routines, and teamwork.
The Novice Program is a great fit for children who enjoy being in the water and have an interest in swimming, music, dance, or gymnastics. No previous artistic swimming experience is required.
Novice athletes practice two days per week and participate in in-state Novice-level competitions.
Intermediate Program
Our Intermediate Program offers athletes the fitness benefits, skill development, teamwork, and camaraderie of artistic swimming without the additional training and out-of-state travel commitments of PTX’s competitive teams.
The Intermediate Program is designed for older beginners, athletes with strong swimming skills and body awareness who are new to artistic swimming, and athletes who wish to continue developing their skills and competing primarily at local and in-state competitions.
Intermediate athletes practice three days per week.

Competitive Team
12U, Youth, Junior and Senior Teams
Our Competitive Program consists of athletes ages 6–19 who train to compete at the association, regional, South Zone, national, and international levels. Many of our competitive athletes began their artistic swimming journey in the PTX Novice and Intermediate programs before advancing to the competitive track.
The competitive season runs from August through June, with some athletes participating in additional training, competitions, National Team opportunities, or international events during the summer.
PTX provides age-specific training designed to challenge each athlete and help them reach their full potential. Training includes technical skills, routines, strength and conditioning, flexibility, acrobatics, and both in-water and land-based exercises.
Competitive athletes are grouped according to applicable USA Artistic Swimming age categories, which may include 12 & Under, Youth (13–15), 15–17, 18–19, Junior, and Senior divisions.
Coaches assign teams and routines based on each athlete’s age, skill level, technical ability, commitment, attendance, competition readiness, development, and team needs.
Competitive athletes practice 10 or more hours per week, depending on their team level and training schedule. Participation in competitions and travel is expected as part of the Competitive Program.
